“I have always been inspired by fabric. It has excited my life, leading me down a road, filled with challenges, adventure, and passion.”
- Linda
Linda Hannawalt began her career in textile design in 1976. Following her passion for versatility and color, Linda started her career in interior design, and later ran a successful business creating custom hand-painted, reversible art apparel. Her clients included fine art collectors, prominent Bay Area socialites, and people with an eye for wearable art. Linda’s artistic direction changed when her studio was destroyed in the Oakland Hills Fires that devastated many of Oakland’s finest homes. Finding her way back to art, Linda dove into mosaic furniture design and stained glass creations. It wasn’t until a cruise to Skagway, Alaska in 2005 that Linda stumbled upon a quilt shop who’s fabric inspired her to take a turn in her artistic career toward quilting.
